Hrókur

Myndin sýnir gang hróksins. Hann gengur lárétt og lóðrétt eftir a c e g og i línum borðsins. Hrókarnir geta því aldrei komizt inn á b d f og h línurnar. Gildir þetta bæði um hvítu og svörtu hrókana. Hrókun er leyfð eftir sömu reglum og í hinni klassísku skák. Hrókuri á miðju borði kemst á 12 reiti.

Fig. 3 shows the movement of the Rook.  The Rook can move vertically and horizontally along ghe a c e g an i lines of the board.  Accordingly the Rooks can never enter the b d f and h lines.  Rooking is allowed by the same rules as in usual chess.
